Toy Library Association of South Africa (TLASA)
The Toy Library Association of South Africa (TLASA) is a networking organisation that promotes best practice in the field of toy librarianship in South Africa. TLASA advocates for a toy library within reach of every child.
The Toy Library Association of South Africa (TLASA) is administrated by Cotlands. TLASA host quarterly seminars and regular workshops that aid toy librarians in setting up and maintaining quality toy library programmes.
Training and seminars
Cotlands, in collaboration with TLASA, host quarterly seminars and regular workshops that aid toy librarians and act as a key support structure for ECD practitioners as well as parents and early learning facilitators
Cotlands offer the following training courses:
- Toy library set up and administration course
- Play-based learning through toys course
- Birth to two-years-old course
- Making toys from waste materials course
