Homework Support
As part of our Education component, the primary objective in this area is to improve school performance by offering support with homework and intervention activities to address delays.
The following form part of our activities:
- Train staff on how to provide homework support
- Train staff on how to provide maths and literacy intervention and support
- Set up term plan to include art, outdoor games, reading, maths and literacy
- Source and prepare materials children will require for afternoon activities.
Results are showing:
- Evidence of improved school performance
- Positive feedback from class teachers about completeness and accuracy of homework
- Increased understanding of concepts taught at school
- Barriers to learning are minimised due to the maths and literacy intervention activities
- Support is provided to complete homework
- Children develop holistically as they are exposed to art and creative activities, provided with books to read, and taught to play outdoor games.
