The importance of early childhood development (ECD)
Take a closer look at what early childhood development (ECD) is and the critical importance of ECD in today’s world.
Cotlands’ early learning playgroups
Cotlands’ early learning playgroups are designed to ignite potential through play by unlocking children’s learning skills in literacy and numeracy. The programmes also include the development of gross and fine motor skills, as well as social and emotional skills that children need to succeed in life.
To facilitate early childhood development, Cotlands provides toy libraries in under- resourced communities across South Africa.
Capacity building programmes
To reach more children and improve the quality of early learning programmes, Cotlands trains non-profit organisations as well as for-profit ECD centres to implement our playgroup and toy library model.
