I am positive and you?
Under the message “I am positive and you?” the 2011 World AIDS Day Event heralds a new era in the country’s collective effort in the response to HIV and AIDS. The theme encourages everyone in South Africa from individuals, communities, businesses and those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS to live positively. A positive attitude coupled with support and understanding for people living with HIV/AIDS are recipe for the global objective in achieving the ultimate goal: “Getting to Zero”.
The theme for the day was healthy eating. People were encouraged to adopt healthy eating life styles and to try eating balanced diet meals. Candles were burnt as a symbol of hope for people with HIV.
